Become a Renton Signal Founder
Renton Signal is Renton’s independent newsroom. We publish civic affairs, event coverage, and local business stories every one to two days— city hall summaries, reviews, breaking updates, short-form video, and a community calendar with almost everything we can find around town.
We’re free to read, and we plan on keeping it that way. No paywalls. No spammy popups. No outside owners. Just a newsroom that lives here, the same as our readers.
This year is one of Renton’s biggest. The city turns 125. FIFA World Cup comes to the region. Legacy Square activates downtown. We’re Renton’s locally-owned newsroom covering one city, and that means we can show up to all of it— but only if the community helps make it possible.
Our Founding Sponsors are the Renton businesses and families backing our first year of coverage. Every business and family listed on our Founders page appears there permanently, for the lifetime of Renton Signal’s operations. It’s a public record of everyone that showed up early.

- Sponsorship supports our newsroom. It does not influence our coverage. Our editorial policies apply to every business equally, including our sponsors.
- Founder status will no longer be available for new listings on or after December 1, 2026
