Planning to head south on I-405 this weekend? You’ll want a Plan B.
The Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes of southbound I-405, from Sunset Boulevard Northeast to the SR 167 on-ramp, around the clock from Friday, April 24 at 11:30 p.m. through Monday, April 27th at 4 a.m. The three-night closure is part of the ongoing Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project.
Drivers should expect detours, longer travel times, and heavier traffic on nearby streets as people find their way around. If you can put off that trip — or leave early — your future self will thank you.
