Renton’s Legacy Square Is Coming — and Your Voice Helps Shape It

Renton, WA— A new gathering place is coming to downtown Renton, and the community gets a role in shaping what its programs will look like this summer.

Legacy Square is a city-led project designed to be an arts and culture hub in the heart of downtown. The ribbon cutting is set for Saturday, June 6th, and the space will be active all the way through September with free public programming: live music, movies, watch parties, art & culture events, family-friendly activities, and a season finale to close things out.

The goal is to create a downtown spot where everyone belongs. This summer, the City is asking residents and local businesses to be a part of shaping it.

Help Choose the Summer Lineup

The Renton Municipal Arts Commission is putting together a live music schedule for Legacy Square — and they want your input. Got a favorite local band? Nominate them! In a local band? Throw it out there!

Vendors: Now’s Your Chance

Local food vendors, food trucks, and artisan or merchandise sellers are invited to submit a “Show of Interest” to vend at Legacy Square events this summer. Programming runs June 6 through September 19.

Spots are limited. The City will review submissions based on event fit, product quality, vending experience, and local presence — with preference given to Renton-based businesses. Submitting doesn’t guarantee placement, but it’s how you get considered.

The deadline is March 31, 2026. Selected vendors will hear back in April.
