Renton, WA – The 4th Annual Black Makers & Creatives Art Exhibit was held on Sunday in the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, bringing together artists, vendors, performers, and small business owners for an afternoon showcase of creative work.

The event was organized in partnership with Elev8 PR Management, a Renton-based public relations and event coordination firm. According to the company’s public description, Elev8 PR works with small businesses and artists, specializing in social media consultations, project management, public relations, and event coordination.

Guests entering through the Grand Ballroom entrance were first met with a variety of food vendors, including peach cobbler, pastries, kettle corn, hot dogs, and much more. Dirty Dawgz, a food truck often serving the Renton area, was among the vendors serving as attendees arrived.

Inside the ballroom, attendees could explore vendor tables lining both sides of the space. Makers and artists displayed hats, paintings, jewelry, watches, clothing, lotions, fragrances, spices, and other handcrafted goods. Tables arranged in the center of the room were decorated with scattered flower petals, and two floral arches framed the stage.

Attendees gather at vendor tables displaying crafted artworks and items.

Near the entrance, multiple photo stations offered attendees the opportunity to capture the moment. One setup, organized by Mehraki Productions, included accessories guests could use as part of their photographs at the event.

The program opened with a performance by Anokye Agofomma, a group dedicated to performing and preserving traditional Ghanaian music. Drumming and singing filled the ballroom as the event began.

The annual exhibit highlights a mix of creative entrepreneurship, performance, and community gathering in one of Renton’s largest event venues. By bringing together artists, vendors, and performers in a single venue, this event underscores the role community spaces can play in supporting creative and small business activity.
